The Problem We Want to Solve

We often want to copy/paste from Word or other apps but when we paste it in Scrivener, we can get unwanted "field codes" with meaning in Word, but not in Scrivener.

The (Too) Simple Solution That Almost Works

Experts will point you to Paste and Match Style:

• [ ] Edit→Past and Match Style
• [ ] Shortcut: ⇧⌘V
• [ ] P&MS matches paragraph formatting at the destination — usually a good thing.

But Here's the Problem it Causes

P&MS matches character formatting too ... and that's often a bad thing.
